Mark was a good man. He was always quick with a smile and a hand shake when we saw each other.

My best friend. I was with you when you lived and I was there when you died. We laughed and we cried on the phone for hours as you went through the last 18 months with that "little amoeba", as you called it, in your body. I had lunch yesterday with Braden, your oldest, and I sat in my easy chair on Sunday with your 8 week old grandson, Hudson William Hood, sleeping in my arms for about an hour. You would be very proud of your family and of Hudson. Braden and Carson are good men and Terry is doing great. I miss you, Womble. Happy Trails.

Here's another fine mess you've gotten us into!

March 4 2016: It'll be 17 years tomorrow since you died. Next Saturday my wife and I will drive to Dallas for the first birthday of your second grandson, Charlie Hood.  He's Hudson's little brother and he smiles all of the time.  Carson's wife, Elizabeth, is also going to have a baby this year. Your third grandchild. They are moving back to Texas (Austin) from NYC so they can raise their children in Texas. You have a great family and left a great legacy, Mark. I love you, man, and I miss you every day. You're in heaven now with our Savior and your parents and many of our friends.  We'll meet again up there so that I can slap you for leaving early like this.

Randy, I love the way you love.  D'Ann and Mark Hood were and are so blessed to have you for their permanent friend. I agree, their families are a monument to them in life and in death.

I signed up for Match.com this month for the first ever of this nonsense and then on the anniversary of D'Ann's birthday take note of your devotion to your friends.  What in the world can an online site bring that even resembles the love that we all shared and that you now have for a blessed life with MG.  You are a saint of a man and friend.  May we all learn from your heart.  Deep love    Robbie
