Hello THS Class of 70, 71 & 72!

If you haven’t already done so, it’s time to get our 50th + 2 reunion cruise booked. All you need is a deposit for now and that will hold your cruise to be paid out over the next year. At this time, the cruise line is allowing final payment to be paid 30 days before the sail date, but that could easily change back to the normal due date of 90 days before sailing, at any time. So, get your cruise booked asap!

We are just back from our annual December cruise, and I wanted to let you know of our experience while it’s still fresh in my mind. Let’s face it, sometimes it’s hard just to remember what we’ve had for breakfast if we wait too long.

There were seven of us cruising this time, Randy and I, our daughter Carissa, and her four children ages, 24, 21, 20 and 13, and there were plenty of activities for everyone. With the waterslides being down because of a crane accident while the ship was in drydock, the grandkids spent a lot of time learning to surf on the Flow Rider, hanging out at the swimming pool, the hot tubs and sunbathing. They also took advantage of the many shows and games that were scheduled throughout the day and into the evening. They were never bored, not once, during the 5 days onboard. While the kids were busy doing their thing, we enjoyed our time in the solarium napping/reading by the pool, playing trivia games, or hanging out on deck enjoying the sea breeze and the sounds of the ocean. There were lots of activities always going on throughout the ship, some were scheduled, and some were activities the cruisers set up on their own. So, if you’re thinking of bringing your family along on the reunion cruise, I highly recommend it. We hope to have more of our family with us next year. It’s such a great experience for everyone.

Our ship, the Adventure of the Seas is a nice sized ship. Not too big and not too small. It has many places to hang out, some lively, some quiet and it even has a secret place to peek in on the bridge.

The Adventure also has all the food you could want. In the Promenade Café, coffee is served 24 hours a day, in the mornings, they serve breakfast sandwiches and pastries, in the afternoons, sandwiches and desserts, and pizza, along with some antipasti, is served from 11am to 3am. Breakfast is also served in the main dining room, in the Windjammer and through room service each morning. Lunch is served in the main dining room, only on sea days, and of course in the Windjammer every day or stop by the Promenade Café for a quick bite, AND some of the special restaurants also serve lunch for a fee. Dinner is in the main dining room, the Windjammer and many of the onboard specialty restaurants. Please note that the specialty restaurants all charge a fee. The food and drinks, namely, coffee, milk, juice, water, and tea, in the other venues mentioned here are included with your cruise. These venues on the ship, Starbucks, Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream and all the bars charge for their goodies.

The cruise prices mentioned below are from May 2021, as prices go up and down depending on demand, it’s best to get the most up to date pricing from Lynn.

We will be working on securing a host hotel and transportation suggestions and get that information to you later. Also, Lynn can book your airfare and arrange transportation from Houston to Galveston if you prefer, especially if you are traveling with a group.

If you have any questions, call me at 972.965.0382, or email me at pagama5260@gmail.com

Can't wait to see you all onboard!
